The following Learning Modules have been designed specifically to target Early Childhood Professionals (ECP) as they start a Developmental Screening Program in their Centers. Successful completion of the Modules by an ECP will result in Certification as a Developmental Screening Consultant, as well as XXX contact clock hours in the Core Competency Area of “Observation & Assessment.”
Anyone is welcomed to take this course for XXX contact clock hours, although only ECPs can receive Certification as a Developmental Screening Consultant.
The Learning Modules cover:
- Module 1: Importance of Developmental Screening Activities in your Center
- Module 2: Early Social Communication Development
- Module 3: The Act Early Texas! Screening Process
- Module 4: Talking with Parents about Screening Results

Successful completion of the four Learning Modules is not required to perform developmental screenings, but it is strongly recommended.
