What is ASQ-3TM?

ASQ

Professionals rely on ASQ for evidence-based developmental and social-emotional screening for children from one month to 5 ½ years of age.

Highly reliable and valid, ASQ looks at strengths and trouble spots, educates parents about developmental milestones, and incorporates parents' expert knowledge about their children.

The ASQ-3™ screens five developmental domains:

• Communication
• Problem-Solving
• Gross Motor • Personal-Social
• Fine Motor

The ASQ-3™ consists of 21 age-related interval questionnaires, for ages 3 months to 5 years, and it written at the 4th to 6th grade reading level.

AET! will automatically select the correct interval questionnaire based on the date of birth entered during registration.

AET! will also automatically calculate a Corrected Gestational Age for babies who were premature and who are screened before 24 months of age.

There are six questions under each domain, which are listed in hierarchical order-- The most difficult questions (#5 and #6) are average skills for children of that age (i.e., a 12 month skill for a 12 month child). Questions are answered “yes”, “sometimes”, and “not yet”. It is very important to answer all of the items if possible.

The ASQ-3™ takes about 10-15 minutes to complete and AET! will automatically scores the questionnaires
